Resources for Global Sustainability (RGS), Inc. gathers, analyzes and disseminates information on funding for the environmental community.

RGS maintains a large database (110,000+ grants) of detailed information on environmental grants awarded by independent, community, operating, and company-sponsored foundations. The data has been compiled since 1988.

From its databases, RGS publishes Environmental Grantmaking Foundations, a directory of the major foundations that fund environmental projects. Each edition contains up-to-date entries for several hundred foundations. These entries detail environmental topics, geographic data, emphases and restrictions, application deadlines, and names of foundation personnel, supplemented by numerous indexes for easy reference.
